A*Song, the band, was born in 2004.
The project originaly started with home made demos recorded by singer songwriter Thibauld.
Ex-Rams William (guitar), Benj (drums) and Alexis (bass) found it attractive enough to eventually join and form a live band.
After winning Lyon's local upcoming bands contest Dandelyon, the band released "Cock your Pistol" (Disques Puzzle 2004)
wich is a collection of some of Thibauld's recordings (reviewed by french press : Rock n' Folk, Les Inrockuptibles, Magic).
The band then performed numerous shows before releasing a live EP recorded at the "Musiques en Stock" festival in Cluses.
Thanks to their catchy pop songs, the band is soon spotted out by
sound ingineer Christian Hierro who founded indie label BTM records to record their first LP "Hotel de Nice" (2006) distributed by
Believe !. The band is then joined by keyboard player Ian (Rhodes, Hammond).
In a few years the band played many shows in small or bigger venues (Flêche d'Or, Transbordeur, Ninkasi Kao, Coopérative de Mai, The Cavern Club)
in France (Lyon, Paris, Marseille, Bordeaux...) and abroad (Geneva, Liverpool, London) and opened for such bands as Giant Sand or Snow Patrol.
After a few lineup changes, they are about to release a new LP...
