A rhythmic dual drum kit, brawny percussions, burning voice and guitars... Catfish create music that stays true to what is essential: beat and melody.
The duo exudes a wonderfully crude sound; with blues tones reminiscent of those of the American South (Skip James, Robert Johnson, Blind Willie Johnson...), combined with an indie rock style similar to The Kills or Hell’s Kitchen.
Catfish offer powerful raw compositions, but also create soft and intimate melodies, the unique combi- nation of both contributing to their musical identity.
After only six months of existence, since the band’s creation in May 2011, Catfish have already seduced well renowned concert halls, and supported acts such as Bob Brozman and Coeur de Pirate.
The duo is now on the road all over France (Paris, les Repérages Eurockéennes de Belfort, Lyon, Neucha- tel, Nyons, Marseille, Le Mans...). They will be introducing tracks from their very first EP, which is due for digital release the 19th of April 2012 during the NIP (the Noomiz International Party) taking place at l’International in Paris.
