Klaus Janek studied classical double bass with a particular interest in the 20th century. He got involved in electronic music and is constantly broadening his expression and perception of music towards sound and noise. Simon Berz started out playing drums in rock, punk and jazz formations. In recent years, his focus shifted towards improvised electronic music and noise, as he developed his own set up of instruments, using the DIY methods of hardware hacking and circuit bending, making use of errors, working with feedbacks and distortions.
The two met some years ago in Berlin and immediately got caught up in a discussion about music, that hasn‘t stopped since - they just moved their focus in that discussion from words to their instruments.
