J'Aurais Voulu

J’AURAIS VOULU… (literally "I wish I had..."), a street-punk combo based in Colmar and Strasbourg, is formed in Jan 1999 and gains a place of choice in the French punk scene. Shortly after their first demo they get contacted by several labels. With Limolife Records are released a 4-track EP "Enfants du Béton" in Jan 2000, then, in en co-production with Trauma Social, the album "Au-dedans de toi", in March of 2001. A new opus, "Sans trahir", follows in 2002 on Combat Rock, a well known Metz-based label. Several of its tracks will appear on compilations ("100% Punk Rock", "Rock en France"…) and a vinyl LP versuion will be released in Germùany on Dirty Faces. The four-piece will the performs series of gigs an frequently share the stage with la Brigada Flores Magon, by then become a major band on the French radical scene. In Jan 2004, 3rd album, "Partir sans dire Adieu…", and auto produced video "Pour les miens", is released by Combat Rock. They also appear on more than 15 compilations (namely the renowned "Aujourd'hui... Comme hier..." on Worst), and a split-EP with Hors Contrôle.

Between 2004 and 2006, J'Aurais Voulu tour relentlessly in venues and festivals in France, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, and Netherlands with great names like Inner Terrestrials, La Souris Déglinguée, Brigada Flores Magon, Hors Contrôle, Hellbats, Brixton Cats, Los Fastidios, Nevrotic Explosion, Guerilla Poubelle, Ya Basta, Lower Class Brats, Klasse Kriminale, Cut My Skin, Guarapita, The Exploited, The Avengers, Deadline, Front Kick…, and take part in lmassive European punk festivals like Punk and Disorderly in Berlin, Rude Boys Unity in Geneva, Antifascist Festival in Berne, Lemovice Antifa Fest 2…, showing every time their talent and commitment to the antifascist alternative scene.

Recorded in 2007 at Frigos (Paris) by Spirou (Molodoi), "Le Feu Sacré", 4th album produced by Lorspider (the production structure of Loran BxN / Ramoneurs de Menhirs, featuring as guest on the record), in partnership with Folklore de la Zone Mondiale (FZM) and Crash Disques / PIAS for distribution (FZM 028 - CRASH DISTRO 01 CD / LP), is at first released as an 11-track vinyl LP.
