At the crossroads of musical styles comes a wind of freshness for fans of raging music with frantic rhythms. Playing wiyh sounds recalling techno and electro, big symphonic orchestras and classical piano, OK Volca keep impressing with their unique audacity and creativity. Originating from the prolific scene of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, OK Volca is made of Louis on main vocals, Ben on guitar and vocals, Vinz on guitar and effects, Pat on the bass and Doom on drums. The formation was created in May 2006. The five members all have a rich musical past which gives them the assurance and dynamism of a professional band. Their energy obviously leads them to perform explosive live acts.
Things have gone well and quick for OK Volca, several weeks' pre-production in the Spring of 2006 to then sign with label Slam Disques (MAP, EXTERIO, O Linea and +). Soon after, the band entered the studio in July to record their début album under the good care of Luc Boivin on engineering. Several weeks were necessary to take care of the unique hardcore electro sound of OK Volca, the band ends the studio with a 13-track album with music pieces all different and particular to the band personality. OK Volca impress, surprise and give life to francophone hardcore.
