Since 2007, La Roda works on the discovery and practice of “choro” in France. This rich Brazilian popular music genre unveils a national culture, far from cliches. La Roda is a nonprofit organization directed by Claire Luzi and Cristiano Nascimento and based at Aix-en-Provence, in the south of France. Our projects are engaged in music creation and production. We are currently promoting different concerts and CDs. We are also involved in music transmission activities as a choir and “choro” workshops.
