Upton Park Publishing, an independant music editor, has been created by Paul and Julien Banes in 2002. Built around the Matmatah’s members projects, UPP has developed his editorial catalogue with projects as various as Svinkels, Paul Slade, Gabriel Barry or The Craftmen Club. Being in the need of staying independent and in the requirement of being at the artists’ favour, Upton Park also partly produced the albums of its artists and songwriters collaborating with its sister society, La Ouache Production (created by Matmatah’s members and Julien Banes).
The master idea is to put the artist in the center of the project, to work together on the fieldwork, but never forget that grow-up is now difficult, more than never, without getting on the stage.
